Established in 2016, Ahmon Institute of Montreal under Lilia Esguerra, has been providing Business Vocational courses to Filipino students. After a year of teaching, Lilia Esguerra saw the need in the Community for a school in Adult Continuing Education.In 2018, AHMON Institute of Montreal (AIM) Incorporated. Currently, under the administration of Lilia Esguerra, Ahmon has students from many Communities…to name a few, from Nepal; Sri Lanka; Indonesia; Philippines; Cameroon; Eritrea; Saudi Arabia; Egypt, etc. Our students enjoy the Community environment in the school. Students, teachers alike share experiences, laughing and caring with each other just like a close – knit community. The Ahmon Institute of Montreal (AIM) is a Community - based school, operating under the English Montreal School Board. We currently specialize in Business Vocational Courses such as Starting a Business, Sales Representation, Professional Sales and Accounting.
Lilia Esguerra has extensive experience as a teacher; as an administrator; as a Business person; and as a Community leader.
On June 3rd 2019, Lilia Esguerra received the award for her "Outstanding Achievement Community Involvement.
Lilia Esguerra has devoted herself to improving the lives of fellow Filipinos who have rebuilt their lives here in the riding of D'Arcy McGee and beyond. As a leading community educator, she helped create the Ahmon Institute of Montreal in partnership with the English Montreal School Board. The school was a huge success, building on Lilia's 20 years of teaching experience at former Montreal Catholic School Commission. In fact, she was one of the first Filipino teachers in Quebec's public school system. Her institute has attracted and trained hundreds of adult education students, particularly in the fields of business and professional sales.
